I ordered this vacuum from the factory and was very disappointed with its performance; the suction is not strong enough, and the hose is much too short. The vacuum is heavy and very difficult to move around.
The canister mode of the vacuum did not work well at all.
There is a clip under the handle that is supposed to hold the cord out of the way, but the cord falls out of the clip numerous times while using the vacuum.
The HEPA filter is impossible to remove; it is wedged in tightly, and neither I nor my husband could remove it; so, consequently, we will never be able to change the filter.
We have a small house, and the vacuum stopped working halfway through vacuuming; the filter was clogged, so I have to clean it twice each time I vacuum, which is a laborious task; the instructions say to knock the dirt off the filter, but I found that the filter has to be cleaned with a small brush also, as this is the only way to remove all the dirt; it is such a messy job that I have to wear a dust mask and goggles to protect my eyes and nose from the clouds of dust.
I am considering going back to using my old vacuum, which even with some broken parts, works much better than the Germ Guardian.
