#@: Panasonic MCUG693 Upright Vacuum

I had a panasonic vacuum for over 15 years. When it was unrepairable, I tried to buy a vacuum from a department store because it was too far to drive to a particular store to purchase one and I really did not want to purchase it online. The Hoover Windtunnel I bought lasted a month before the motor burned out picking up one small metal nut(I took it back to the store and got a refund) It was extremely noisy. I then decided to purchase one online. I love the vaccuum, its quiet and does an excellent job on both bare floors and carpet. The only thing I miss from my old vacuum is the quickdraw attachment hose that allows you use the attachments without bending down to release the hose from the vacuum itself. What was panasonic thinking, they have a great feature that should be available on all their vacuums. Also its difficult to get bags for this vacuum, the ones sold with this vacuum are wrong and I have yet to find them. I plan on calling panasonic.

After researching several vacuum I decided to go with the Panasonic. I have other Panasonic products with no problems and have been very happy with Panasonic. The vacuum replaced a Eureka I had for 4 years, which pretty much lived its life. This vac is quieter by a tad (reviews I read raged about the quietness, but I would give it a 3 star for quietness). Other than that, I am happy ... vacuums well, long cord, and get the edges and corners very well. I would have been happier if they had improve on the onboard tools. The annoyance (if you used the attachments a lot) is the hose attachment to the accessory brushes comes undone a little too easy when used normally, and you must reattach the hose before you can continue vacuuming without the tools. The other vacs I had ... as long as you change the lever from floor/carpet to tools there was not need to reattach the hose. Each time you need to use the tools you have to attach and reattach. I am trying to work my way around it.
