This is a vacuum from a respected brand and since it weighs a ton I hoped it would have some strength and substance. The problems I have with it are three: the plastic parts are cheap and snap off easily, the height adjustment is so poorly designed that it bumps up against the vacuum and will not turn and when the roller stops spinning (and it does) replacing the belt is a real pain with lots of screws and prying. I would not buy it again and hope that Eureka makes the investment to improve this vacuum. On the bright side, we have a large house with dogs, cats, kids and lots of visitors so my wife and I vacuum every single day and it has already lasted a over year without loss of power. This is longer than comparably priced vacuums and I am impressed. Eureka could think like a user and fix this unfriendly monster and I would buy another one if they did. Until then, stay away from it.

I've used this vacuum twice, and it's awkwardly designed - the hose and the cord are continually getting in the way of each other. Although I didn't think the release lever felt like it would break off, it is very hard to manage - I couldn't release it with my foot - I had to bend down and push hard with my hand every time I wanted to release it. But my biggest gripe is that I can see puffs of dust that it blows out the front. I checked the bag twice, and it seems to be in place, but for a HEPA vacuum, it's generating a lot of dust. What a waste of money!
